KicksLab x Gel Lyte III 'Hikeshi Hanten'

Tokyo sneaker retailer KICKS LAB. teamed with ASICS for this special edition GEL Lyte III. Nicknamed the ‘Hikeshi Hanten,’ the design is inspired by traditional Japanese fireman’s coats from the 20th century. Constructed from heavy cotton and soaked in water to protect the wearer from the heat of the flames, the coats were typically dyed with indigo and red pigments and often featured unique motifs repping the town’s brigade. As a result, this Gel Lyte 3 tribute comes with a navy, red and white upper constructed from premium leather and suede. It also boasts custom footbeds and Kanji-graffiti style artwork on the outsole by long-time Asics collaborator Sneakerwolf.
